Bio

***************************************** Patrick Anthony Muhle was born on May 2, 1951 in Fremont, Nebraska to Norman and Wilhelmina (Meyer) Muhle. He grew up in Fremont where he attended catholic school graduating from Fremont Bergan High School in 1969. Pat went on to attend the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, receiving a degree in Finance in 1973. As a young boy, Pat was active in Boy Scouts, enjoyed camping and had his own paper route. During high school he played football, was student council president and worked at a local grain elevator. Pat married Carol Forsberg on August 30, 1974 in Valley, Nebraska and they made their home in Elkhorn. Pat worked at Union Pacific Railroad until he received his CPA and went to work at Deloitte & Touche accounting firm. Later he worked as the CFO at Immanuel Medical Center and Peter Kiewit before his retirement in 1997. After his retirement, he and Carol travelled extensively including many trips with the family to Disney World. He enjoyed deer hunting, swimming and photography but his passion was his family. Pat truly treasured his time with his children and grandchildren spending time with them daily. Pat was a loving, selfless, headstrong and devoted man who was always in charge. For many years, Pat’s routine included arising early, a hot cup of coffee and the Wall Street Journal before the rest of the family was awake. He enjoyed a good soak in the hot tub, college football, a large steak, diet A&W root beer and dinner at Harr’s. Pat had not patience for people who would not work hard and was often heard saying “If you want it bad enough, you have to make it happen”. Pat passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 1, 2015 in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 63 years, 8 months and 30 days. He was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Wilhelmina; Pat is survived by wife Carol; son and daughter-in-law Jason and Stacie of Elkhorn; daughter and son-in-law Michelle and Aaron Beaty of Omaha; grandchildren Makayla and Mason Muhle and Lauren, Claire and Lucas Beaty; siblings Michael and Kathy Muhle of Kingswood, TX, Cindy and Don Gray of Barstow, CA, Dick Muhle of Omaha, Jim Muhle of Fremont and T.J. and Theresa Muhle of Fremont.
