Dickson, Dorothy Lea "Dottie" (Gladfelter), 85, died Friday. Graveside service 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery, Nowata. Stumpff. -------------- Dorothy Lea "Dottie" (Gladfelter) Dickson, 85, died at 8:15 A.M. on Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Golden Living Nursing Home in Pittsburg, Kansas. Mrs. Dickson was born in Caney, Kansas on June 24, 1929 the daughter of Melton W. and Twilah (Miller) Gladfelter. She grew up and received her education in Copan, Dewey and then Bartlesville where she graduated from College High School. She later moved to Dallas, Texas where she was an executive secretary for Graff Engineering for over 20 years. She returned to Bartlesville and was employed with Phillips Petroleum Company until her retirement in 1985. She was married to Frank R. Dickson in Bartlesville and he preceded her in death in 1984. She was active in attending her high schools reunions and get -togethers. Survivors include one sister, Margo and her husband George, a half-brother, Steve, a niece, Melissa and her husband John, a great nephew, Matthew, and numerous other friends and family. She was preceded in death by her father, Melton W. Gladfelter, her mother, Twilah (Gladfelter) Kester, and her step-father Bryden Kester Sr. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Dickson will be held at 3 P.M. on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Charles McKnight officiating. Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral home & Crematory. A memorial fund has been established and those who wish may send their contributions to the Journey Home Foundation, 3406 S.E.
