Madgelene “Madge” Brazeal Tomblin, 88 of Paris, passed from this life on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, in the chapel of Starrett Funeral Home, with Chris Martin and Marcus Roden officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Madge was born Aug. 2, 1926, in the Howland community of Lamar County, a daughter of Odis D. and Annie L. Brackeen Brazeal. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ. She spent a career with Office Equipment Center which spanned more than 30 years before her retirement. She married Paul Edward Tomblin on May 3, 1947, in Paris. He preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 2003. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Oweita Strawn and Norma Marlin. Survivors include a daughter, Paula Martin and husband, Mark; two grandsons, Chris Martin and Casey Martin and wife, Ashley; a great-grandson, Cain Martin; a sister-in-law, Faye Caviness; three brothers-in-law, Ray Marlin, Wayne Tomblin and Thomas Tomblin and wife ,Rita; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends.
