At the time of her demise the whole family were down with the disease and the daughter's remains were taken to Marietta by her grandmother on Sunday for interment. Those who have never had a similar experience can hardly realize the situation, but all can sympathize with the bereaved relatives and offer condolence to them. The other members of the family have recovered from the disease. We wish to thank the people of Maysville for their words of comfort and for their assistance during the sickness and death of our precious little daughter and grand-daughter, and for the many beautiful floral offerings from our friends. We also wish to thank Dr. High, who did all a physician could do. We pray God you will never meet with sorrow such as we have in this year of 1918. We have buried four of our loved ones, two of those were killed. A precious on from us is gone, A voice we loved is stilled, A place is vacant in our home That never can be filled. The gates of heaven were opened, And an angel's voice said come, And with the farewell unspoken She calmly entered home. Sincerely, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tuck and family, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Tuck and family. Source: The Maysville News (Maysville, Oklahoma) Thu. Nov 7, 1918 Page 6 Submitted by: Sharon Beck
