Bio
Mrs. Bratcher joined her heavenly Father after a courageous three year battle with cancer. Born to Ella and Leon Carl Dobyns, Sr.,she was raised in Purcell and was a 1965 graduate of Purcell High School. She graduated with honors from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. An elementary school teacher at Bridge Creek, she was also a licensed minister and retired as a Tinker Air Force Base Government Contracting Supervisor. A compassionate devoted mother, grandmother and friend, she was an accomplished seamstress, cook and flower gardener. She enjoyed catfish and striper fishing, crossword and soduku puzzles. As an avid bird watcher, she and her sister took numerous bird watching trips to Great Salt Plains Wildlife Refuge, Hackberry Flat and Lake Longmire. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Leon Carl Dobyns, Jr. Orlena is survived by: her sons, Michael and Byron Bratcher; daughter, Kristi Dean; 3 grandchildren, Tommy Dean and Ashley and Bryan Bratcher; sister, Jo Arms; brother, Dean Dobyns; five nieces and nephews.
