Bio

Royce Lynn Eades, 67, of Hobbs, passed away at his home. He was son of Benjamin Franklin and Clair Elizabeth Eades. He married Carolyn Wall Evans on November 19, 1963, in Odessa, TX. After graduating from Hobbs High School in 1965, he studied Engineering at New Mexico Junior College and New Mexico State University. He was employed at BJ Services and Schlumberger, then worked as a Wellsite Consultant for the past 11 years, most recently with Cimarex. He was involved in the Hobbs Chamber of Commerce and was Chamber President from 1999-2000. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survived by his spouse, Carolyn Eades; two daughters; three sons; a sister, Janice Jones; a nephew; and four grandchildren. (Hobbs News Sun, January 28, 2014)
