Susan E. Bahlmann, 61, Wisconsin Rapids, died Sunday, November 24, 2013 at her residence. Services were held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2640 14th St. So., Wisconsin Rapids. Susan was born November 13, 1952, in Anthon, Iowa, to Wilfred and Marguerite (Callaghan) Bernard. Susan worked for various assisted living facilities during her career as a director of admissions. Her first position was for Crystal River in Waupaca, then Sylvan Crossings, and recently for Harmony Assisted Living of Stevens Point. Susan liked sewing, music, dancing, gardening, bicycling, and traveling. She touched many lives and was an inspiration to many. Susan was spunky, spontaneous, and vibrant and lived her life to the fullest. She will be remembered by her finger nail polish and flair for fashion, and her beautiful smile. Survivors include her former husband: Dennis Bahlmann, Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin; three children: Sara Kolo, Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin; Sienna Suiter (Doug) Hudson, Wisconsin; and Lee Bahlmann, Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin; two grandchildren: Maleia Kolo and Auden Kolo; five sisters; two brothers; and her mother: Marguerite Bernard, Anthon, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her father, brother, Bob Bernard, sisters, Kay Peterson, Nancy Dose, and Therese Gurr. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center is assisting the family.
