LUND, Nevada--Funeral services for Lillian Wakeling Ashby , 97, who died Monday in a Kanab hospital of causes incident to age, will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the Lund LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of services. She was the mother of Anthony Ashby of Pleasant Grove. Mrs. Ashby was born October 16, 1875 in Stanwich, North Hampshire, England to Allen and Ann Elizabeth Clarke Wakeling. She married Bryant Hammand Ashby on October 30, 1895 in the St. George Temple and he died July 23, 1950. Survivors include five sons and four daughters, Anthony Ashby, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Fern (Lillian) Sinfield and Mrs. Edith Reid, both of Lund, Nevada; Paul Ashby, Medford, Oregon; Clark Ashby, Yarnell, Arizona; Fielding Ashby, Baker, Oregon; Woodrus Ashby, Reno, Nevada; Mrs. Maurice (June) Healey, San Luis Obispo, California; Mrs. John (Fay) McKenzie, Ely; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchild, one brother, Thomas Wakeling, Kanab. -Provo Daily Herald, November 9, 1972, transcribed by Rhonda Holton ========= Children not listed below: June Ashby Healy Spouse: Bryant H.
