Ruby C. O'Daniel Marietta Monitor September 21, 2001 Submitted by: Martha N. Reddout Services for Ruby C. O'Daniel, 54, of Wilson, were held Friday, September 14, in the Assembly of God Church in Wilson, with the Rev. Jim Gillum officiating. Mrs. O'Daniel was born September 17, 1946, in Gainesville, Texas, the daughter of Vester. E.L.Pierce and Erma J. Brannon. She died Tuesday, September 11, 2001, in Wilson. Mrs. O'Daniel lived in Thackerville and Gainesville before moving to Wilson, where she attended school. She and Glen P. O'Daniel were married December 16, 1964, at Gainesville, and made their home in Wilson. Mrs. O'Daniel was very active in the Wilson Volunteer Fire Department Women's Auxiliary as long as her health permitted. Survivors include her husband, Glen of the home; a daughter, Edna Ocampo of Wilson; two sons, Cecil O'Daniel of Marietta and Vester O'Daniel of Wilson; eight grandchildren and a great-grandson. Mrs. O'Daniel was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Paul Dennis O'Daniel on December 6, 1965. Pallbearers were Josh McDonald, Raymond Dewitt, Kenneth King, Albert Morris and Al Morris. Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Thackerville, under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home, Wilson.
