Thomas Oliver Sorrells January 5, 1939 - January 18, 2015 Memorial services for Thomas Oliver Sorrells, 76, of Gladewater, Texas will be Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church with Brother Bailey Harris officiating. Oliver passed Saturday, January 18, 2015 in Longview, Texas. Thomas Oliver Sorrells was born to Barney Clyde and Frances Ezelle Oliver Sorrells in Gladewater on January 5, 1939. He married Virginia Keller in Gladewater on November 30, 1963. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and held a Masters Degree in History. Oliver taught for many years but eventually worked in oil field sales until he retired. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Sorrells of Gladewater; sons, Daniel Todd Sorrells and wife Brandy and Donald Lynn Sorrells and wife Theresa all of Gladewater; brother, Larry Sorrells and wife Mary of Bryan, Texas; brother-in-law Harold Keller and wife Dianne of Gladewater, brother-in-law Everett and wife Gloria of Longview and six grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Oliver is preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 1:00 P.M. (Published by Croley Funeral Home, January 20, 2015)
