Gerald Ray "Jerry" Johnson,68,of Warren,died Saturday at Bradley County Medical Center.He was born May 9th,1937,in Corpus Christi,Texas,a son of Ernest Johnson of Hamburg and Maple Inez Munskis of Dayton,Texas.He was a member of Farmville Missionary Baptist Church and a self-employed painting contractor.He was also preceded in death by a sister,Helen Johnson Fingleman.Other survivors include his wife,Carrie Long Johnson,whom he married on May 29,1991 at Farmville; a son Gerald Johnson Jr. of Warren'three daughters,Becki Hooks of Hermitage,Joan Johnson of Warren and Renee Pennington of Banks;four brothers,Ernest Donnell"Donnie"Johnson of Kenefick,Texas,Richard "Ricky" Johnson and Cory Johnson,both of Cleveland,Texas and Joshua"Josh"Johnson of Woodland,Texas;a sister,Joyce Kingkaid of Seabrook,Texas;his step-mother,Lafreda Johnson of Hamburg and three grandchildren.Funeral Services will be at 4p.m. today at Frazers Funeral Home at Warren.Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Warren.
