Burial will be in Emory City Cemetery under direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba. Ms. Freeman passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015, in a Sulphur Springs nursing facility. She was born Thursday, May 3, 1931, in Fort Worth, to the late Marshall and Blanche Harris Moody. She traveled for many years as a missionary with the Church of Christ and had lived in Emory since 1982. She had worked as a secretary at the Justice of the Peace office in Rains County and was a member of Emory Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Cecil Freeman and Chester Rivers; daughter, Cynthia Mercer; and son, Dene Freeman.
