Eva Mae Palmer, daughter of Jesse James and Beaulah (O'Conner) Dunham was born November 19, 1918 in Decatur County, Iowa. She passed from this life on February 10, 2007 at the Osceola Nursing and Rehab Center in Osceola, Iowa at the age of 88 years. Eva grew up and has lived all of her live in the Osceola area. She was united in marriage to Paul Mark Palmer on June 29, 1941 in Missouri. This union was blessed with 9 children. Eva was a busy mother; she always had a garden and enjoyed canning. She enjoyed sewing and reading and when she had time she enjoyed fishing. After her children were grown she worked cleaning homes and also for Regal Inn Best Western in housekeeping for many years. Eva was preceded in death by her parents; husband Paul Sr.; son Floyd Allen Palmer; 4 brothers and 2 sisters. She leaves to cherish her memory; 7 daughters, Betty Hoyt of Sioux City, Iowa; Phyllis Smith of Pella, Iowa; Pauline Palmer Eenhuis and husband Melvin of West Des Moines, Iowa; Donna Palmer of Pella, Iowa; Sharon Zylstra and husband Rod of Pella, Iowa; Linda Proctor of Weldon, Iowa; and Wanda Allgod of Oskaloosa, Iowa; son Paul Mark Palmer Jr. and wife Laura of Weldon, Iowa; 23 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren as well as other relatives an friends.
