Bio

Mr. James Leon Smith passed away Monday, January 5, 2015, at Stallings Court in Nacogdoches, Texas, at the age of 84 years, 6 months. He was born July 5, 1950, in Milam, Sabine County, Texas, to parents James Randoph Smith and Susan Boaz Smith. He had lived in Nacogdoches for a number of years and was a member of The First United Methodist Church. His survivors include his wife, Clara Sue Smith of Nacogdoches, Texas; a daughter, Nena Sue Smith of Nacogdoches, Texas; a son, James Kevin Smith and wife Simaly of Whiteoak, Texas; granddaughter, Sabrina Lee; and a grandson, Brian Christopher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Leah Smith; and brothers, Wesley Smith and Delmar Smith. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015, at The First United Methodist Church, located at 201 E. Hospital Street in Nacogdoches, Texas, with Dr. Jeff McDonald and Rev. Trent Oliver officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, located at 5127 North Street in Nacogdoches, Texas. CasonMonk-Metcalf.com.
