Bio
Claudine was born on August 13, 1928, to Jake and Agnes (Bohnen) Abele in Seward, NE. She was baptized at St. John Lutheran Church, Seward, NE and then confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church north of Utica, NE in 1944. Claudine graduated from Utica High School in Utica, NE in 1945. She then worked as a secretary/bookkeeper. On June 20, 1948, Claudine was united in marriage to Gerald Richters in Utica, NE. Claudine was a homemaker and helped Gerald farm for many years in the McCool Junction and Utica areas, retiring in 1988. She taught Sunday school, was a cub scout den mother, and an avid gardener. Claudine passed away on January 5, 2015, in Seward, NE at the age of 86 years, 4 months and 23 days. She is survived by two sons, Gary (Robin)Richters and Roger (Lonna) Richters, Utica; grandchildren, Taylor,Ryan, Chris (Joel) Christensen, and Stacey (Jill) Sherman; great-grandchildren, Kayla Christensen, Kyle Christensen, Brent Lake, Devin Sherman, Addison Sherman; great-great-grandchild, Lyla Christensen; best friend (cousin), Mary and Arvin Faig. Claudine was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Agnes Abele; husband Gerald Richters.
