John Dlabaj Laid To Rest In Ennis Cemetery Friday John Dlabaj, 81, retired farmer of the Alma community, who died suddenly Wednesday night at 11:45 o'clock at the home of his son, John Dlabaj Jr., with an acute attack of indigestion, was buried yesterday in St. Joseph's Cemetery at Ennis. Funeral services were held Friday morning at 10 o'clock at St. John's Church on South Paris Street with the Rev. F. Kovalaki and the Rev. Vincent P. Mieola officiating. He was born in Czechoslovakia June 9, 1854 and came to America fifty-one years ago. He settled in the Croskvile community where he lived until fourteen years ago, when his wife died. Since her death he has made his home with his son near Alma. He has been a member of the St. John's Catholic Church on South Paris Street since moving to the Crenckville community fifty-one years ago. Surviving are ten children, six daughters, Mrs. John Patak, Ennis, Mrs. Rudolph Patak, Dallas, Mrs. Anton Zhanel, Mrs. Ignac Slovak, and Mrs. Ed Honza, Ennis, Mrs. T.O. Gatine, Chicago; and four sons, T.D. Dlabaj, John Dlabaj, Jr., Frank Dlabaj and Joe Dlabaj, all of Ennis. A sister, Mrs. Joe Machacek of Holland, Tex. Also surviving are seventy-three grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
