Bio
John C. Little, 74, of Ennis, passed away on January 3, 2015, in Dallas. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m., Monday, January 5, 2015, at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Ennis. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at Saint John Nepomucene Catholic Church with Father Fred Caldwell as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery in Ennis. John was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, to the late Victor and Ruby (Andre) Little. He married Frances Jurica on June 23, 1962. He was the recipient of a Meritorious Mast, for achievement and devotion, from the United States Marine Corps. John retired from the Marine Corp as a Master Sergeant, after 20 years service. He served two tours in Vietnan, in 1965 and 1969. John was dedicated to the men who served with him and kept in contact with the families of the soldiers serving in his unit that were killed in action. John married Ellene Mach Stout on November 16, 2002. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances, on January 6, 1998; and a sister, Rosemary DeMarr. Survivors include his wife, Ellene Stout; daughters: Theresa Daniels, Mary Hart and husband, Dwayne, Yvette Stabbs and husband, Rex, and Wendy Bankston; son, Jason Stout and wife, Melanie; grandchildren: JR Daniels, John Paul Daniels, Candice Sutton and husband, Ricky, Jonathan Hart and wife, Suzanne, Whitney Hart, Noah Bankston, Daphne Bankston, Justin Stout, and Cole Stout; great-grandchildren: Chandler, Jackson, Harper Daniels, and Cason Hubbard; brothers: Thomas Little and wife, Addie, Victor Little, and David Little; sisters: Anne Finnegan, Dorothy Bess and husband, Yancy, and Kathryn Kamo and husband, Takamasa.
