Eugenia Damratowski (140869107) Suggested edit: Page 8 of St. Paul Phonograph-Herald; Wednesday, November 17, 1971 Last Rites Monday for Eugenia Damratowski, Funeral services for Eugenia Damratowski were held Monday, Nov 15, at 9:30 a m at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wood River. Rev Robert Chamberlain officiated. Burial was in the Westlawn at Grand Island. Mrs Damratowski died Thursday evening at Fullerton after an illness of several years. Eugenia was born March 20, 1931, at Dannevirke, the daughter of William and Helen (Buresch) Hansen. The family lived at Farwell for several years and she attended the Farwell Schools. At the age of 16, she moved with her family to Sherman County. On April 28, 1951, she was united in marriage to Carl Damratowski at Loup City. To this union four children were born. She was a member of the Loup City Catholic Church, Survivors include her husband, parents, a son Virgil, of Loup City, daughter Mary Ann of Alda, one sister, Mrs. Arnold Platek of Loup City and three brothers, Eldon of Ravenna, and Duane and Orin of Loup City. She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis and daughter, Rose Marie, who were killed three weeks ago in a car-train accident near Wood River. Contributor: Cinda Tuma (49300301)
