Bio

Merrill was born August 9, 1942, in Shelby, Nebraska, to Arthur and Ione (Fleek) Krebsbach. He graduated from Shelby High School. On May 8, 1965, Merrill was united in marriage to Dianne Alt in Shelby. Merrill worked general construction the majority of his life, owning and operating A-1 Siding Company for over 20 years. Prior to A-1 Siding, Merrill had worked for the city of Shelby, Polk County and Platte County Road Departments. Merrill was a member of the "Sons of the American Legion", "Cushman Club of America", and the "Gold Wing Club, Chapter C". He enjoyed fishing with a big cane pole, watching old time movies and old westerns, riding his motorcycle, his cushman scooter, and going to the casino on special occasions. Merrill is survived by: Wife - Dianne Krebsbach of Columbus, NE Son - Myron Krebsbach of Columbus, NE Son - Robert (Michelle) Krebsbach of Frisco, TX Son - Keith (Tonya Wilkinson) Krebsbach of Columbus, NE Daughter - Melinda (Curtis) Long of Columbus, NE Grandchildren - Alyssa Krebsbach, Kyrstyn Long, Cole Krebsbach, Jacey Long, and Blake Long Sister - Myrna Dey of Shelby, NE Sister - Maureen (Larry) Birkel of Papillion, NE Merrill was preceded in death by: Parents - Arthur and Ione Krebsbach Sister- Marlene (Jim) Lamberson Sister - Marilyn (George) Cemper Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, December 30, 10:00 at. St. Anthony Catholic Church will Father Del Lape celebrating the Mass. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Shelby, Nebraska. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Gass Haney Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 9:00 – 9:45 A.M. at the funeral home.
