Naomi Marie Mires Patterson, age 86, passed away on December 22, 2014. She was born on April 9, 1928 to Fred and Agnes Mires in Taft, Texas. She was raised in Taft, Texas and graduated from Taft High School. Naomi married David Rich, her husband of 14 years, on November 29, 1947. He was employed by Suntide Refinery and she was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin. She enjoyed participation in the Lions Club and Kiwanis and will always be remembered for her service in the community and her devotion to family. She is preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Patricia Jane Rich; husband, David Rich; and brother, Harwood Mires. Naomi is survived by her son, Fred David Rich; sister, Patsy Jo (Wally) Sloan; grandchildren, Faith Rich, Cameron and Andrea Rich; special friend, Sherwood Hitt; nieces, Lisa Limmer, Lori Bauer; nephews, Laney Sloan, Michael Mires, Barry Mires, Darrell Mires; and numerous cousins. Interment to follow service at Taft Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Laney Sloan, Dee Ruiz, Tracy Callis, Tom Rich, Cameron Rich, Rick Rios, and Austin Berry.
