Athens– Norma Hillhouse, 87, of Athens, passed away on December 20, 2014 in Athens, Texas. Norma Dell Hillhouse was born October 23, 1927 in Henderson County, Texas the daughter of Tracy Robert Lambright and Mamie Ethel Gray Lambright. She was a member of Baxter Baptist Church and loved all her children, family and friends. She was passionate about her fishing and her gardening. She loved growing vegetables to cook and enjoyed feeding and giving food to her friends. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all she knew and loved. She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene "E.V." Hillhouse; her parents; one son Roy Dean Hillhouse; four siblings, Bryant Lambright, Guy Robert Lambright, Maggie Holley, Joyce DeHart; two grandchildren, Breland "Bootsie" Floyd, Brenda Orcutt and great grandson Glenn Hillhouse. She is survived by her loving children; two daughters, Peggy Kirkland and husband Robert of Athens, Deany Melton and husband Charles of Athens; one son Debbs Hillhouse and wife Mary of Athens; one daughter in law Wanda Hillhouse of Athens; ten grandchildren, Gary Kirkland, Rhonda Everett and husband Jason, Misti Ewald and husband Chuck, Brandy Neal and husband Raymond, Botie Hillhouse and wife Stacy, Shonda Ward and husband Denny, Carlton Hillhouse and wife Shirley, Roy Wayne Hillhouse, Barbara Jackson, Justin Hillhouse; twenty one great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
