Eloise Carlisle (1921 - 2016) Eloise Smith Carlisle, age 94, passed away on September 13, 2016. She was born on September 21, 1921 to Orbie Luster Smith and Ida Mae Crook in Martindale, TX. She was the oldest of five children. She married Robert "Bob" Lee Carlisle, Jr. on November 11, 1939. They were married for 70 years. Together they had one child, Carolyn Carlisle Riley. Her favorite thing was to be with her husband. They loved to go dancing together. She loved her church, baking chocolate chip cookies for her family, taking care of her plants, and just being with her many friends. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Riley, grandchildren Tommy and wife Jill Riley, Laurie and husband Mike Sellars, Martin and wife Debbie Riley, and Quint and former wife Ginger Wilcox-Riley. Great-Grandchildren, Tara, Neely, Kirstyn, Britney, Cade, Renise, Jess, Hailey, and Ty and 13 Great-great Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and one sister, Willy Roberta Fox of Florida. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Robert Carlisle, Jr., her son-in-law, Thomas Riley, two sisters, Crystal and Jennie and one brother, Jim. Visitation will be held Thursday September 15, 2016 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be Friday September 16, 2016 at 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Mike Sellers, Tommy, Martin, Quint, Jess and Ty Riley. Memorial contributions may be made to the scholarship fund at the Burnet First United Methodist Church.
