Bio

Charles J. Eilers, 74, of Whitney passed away on December 16, 2014 in Waco. He was born in Mills County, Texas on August 11, 1940, to Henry and Malinda (Nauert) Eilers. He moved to Whitney in 1982 and opened Kase Industries, Inc. On May 26, 1990, he married Janie Jones in Whitney. In 2009, he retired to the farm to serve the Lord. He was the treasurer for the Hill County Unit of the Salvation Army. Active in his community, a friend to churches and ministers, he also ministered to the sick. He was a Christian first, and a member of Towash Baptist Church and attended First Church of the Nazarene in Whitney. Preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gilbert Eilers. Survived by his wife, Janie; children, Vickie Caroline Lopez, Debra Faye Williams and Karl Eilers; brothers, Herman Eilers, Raymond Eilers and Larry Eilers; sisters, Shirley Killebrew, Nelda Davis and Betty Rhodes; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM, Saturday, December 20, 2014, at First Church of the Nazarene in Whitney. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM, Friday, December 19, 2014. M_M
