WILDORADO - Claude "Robbie" "Papa" Howard Robertson, 74, died Tuesday, April 18, 2006. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Llano Cemetery, Memorial services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Palo Duro Baptist Church in Wildorado with Dr. Ron Muller, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Robbie was born June 28, 1931, in Collingsworth County to the late William Thelma and Annie Mae Robertson. He graduated from Samnorwood High School and went on to graduate from West Texas State University with both a bachelor's and a master's degree. He was a retired educator with his career including: being a building trades teacher in Pampa and Lake Jackson and superintendent of Hartley Independent School District. After retiring from his career in education, he spent the remainder of his life in real estate investments. Claude "Robbie" Robertson loved the lord and was strong in his faith. He loved unconditionally and was loved by everyone who knew him. He kept his sense of humor in every situation and was intelligent and had a quick wit about him. He loved to laugh and was a great friend. He was genuine and kind-hearted. He will be desperately missed and will be remembered for his will to make people laugh and feel loved. Survivors include his wife, Patty Robertson, of Wildorado; sons, Mark and Randy Robertson; a daughter, LouAnn Johnston; a stepdaughter, Karen Shepherd; brothers, Gerald and Joe Robertson; sisters, LaVerne Huntington and Christelle Ary; and grandchildren, Tyler May, Kristen and Kaylee Shepherd, Angelia Coble and Brent, Adam and Evan Robertson.
