Jack Scott Warrick, 83, of Lorena, Texas, passed away February 25, 2001. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday February 27, 2001, at the Lorena cemetery with the Reverend Linda Mitchell Belch officiating. Family visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Jack Scott Warrick was born May 24, 1917, in Waco, Texas, the son of Albert Marcus Warrick Sr. and Pearl Warrick. He served in the United States Army during World War II from 1940 to 1945 as a member of the 36th division, 143rd infantry, receiving five bronze stars during his service. Jack married Nelta Mirick February 7, 1948 in Lorena, Texas. He retired from Citizens National Bank after 32 years of service. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and brother, ML Warrick. Survivors include his wife, Nelta Warrick of Lorena, sons, Steve Warrick and wife, Kathy of Lorena and Jeff and Tracy Warrick of Allen, sisters, Mary Lou Dayhoff of Robinson, Claira May King of Dallas, Betty Jean Woody of Burleson, brothers, A.M. Warrick Jr. of Van Allstyne, Ellis "Bubba" Warrick of Sego, grandchildren, Brandy, Brittany and Steve Jr Warrick of Lorena, Hunter and Hannah Warrick of Allen, niece, Beverly Taylor of Eddy, as well as many other nieces, nephews and extended family members.
