Bio

Edward Jackson Turner was born in Kaufman, Texas to T. W. Turner and Ethel Lightfoot. Jack was raised in Kaufman where he lived all of his life. In 1944 Jack enlisted in the U. S. Navy and served in World War II. After, he was discharged he moved back Kaufman. Jack worked for Texas Instruments in Dallas for nineteen years and later worked for the Texas Department of Transportation in Kaufman for nine years. He taught two and three year old children in the bible class at the Church of Christ. He loved children and often made children’s furniture to give away. Jack also provided transportation to the doctor’s office form many different people. Jack was a member of the Landmark Church of Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter Brenda in 1963.
