Edna R. Skinner, 93, of Moberly, died Thursday, Oct. 8 at 4:10 a.m. in Moberly Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Skinner was born Nov. 5, 1904, in Moberly, the daughter of the late Ona K. Susan and Baker Spurling. She worked at Blattner's in Moberly, and was also a former employee of the Brown Shoe Company. She lived her life in Moberly and was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 150, and the White Shrine. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Leo Minor, and also her second husband, Theodore Skinner; one son, Robert L. Minor; five brothers and three sisters. Survivors include: Two stepsons and their wives, Ted and Kathleen Skinner of Moberly; Donald and Billie Skinner of Moberly; two nieces, Mrs. Clyde (Jane Ellen) Hurtt, St. Louis; Mrs. Victor Georgane Marty from Champaign, IL; five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Million-Taylor Funeral Home in Moberly with Dr. Brad Dixon of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 4-7 p.m. The family suggests memorials to the First Baptist Church. (Moberly Monitor-Index, Moberly, Missouri, 09 Oct 1998)
