Fort Bend Herald, December 15, 2014: A funeral mass for Raymond J. Horelica, Sr., 84, of Rosenberg, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg with Fr. William D. Bartniski officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m., Monday, December 15, 2014 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Raymond was born September 1, 1930 in Tavener, to Rudolph and Betty (Orsak) Horelica. He honorably served our country in the U.S. Army from 1952-1954. He was a member of American Legion, Post #271. In his early days, Raymond delivered milk door to door for Westmoreland and Bordens. Known as the "Pearl Man", Raymond was a delivery driver for Pearl Beer Company for 25 years until his retirement. Following retirement, he went back to work at a machine shop in Stafford for 10 years. Raymond was a long-time member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg. He passed away December 14, 2014 in Richmond. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Albert Horelica and Robert Horelica; and two infant brothers. Raymond is lovingly survived by his wife of 58 years, Joyce (Pustka) Horelica; children, Shirley Kocich and husband, Harvey; Raymond J. Horelica, Jr., and Jennifer McConnell and husband, Shaun; sister, Alberta Schafer; grandchildren, Karen Rock and husband, Brian, Diane Kocich, Andrea Horelica, Sandra Horelica and fiancé, Andrian Alanis, Rachel Horelica, Madison McConnell, Ashley McConnell, Lane McConnell, and John McConnell; great grandson, Noah Ray Granger; along with numerous extended family and friends. Memorials may be made in Raymond's name to Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1416 George Street, Rosenberg, Texas 77471.
