Joni Jewel (Hunkey) Harrington King passed away December 12, 2014 at the age of 87; born to John and Jo Harrington on September 12, 1927 in Ferris, Texas. She graduated from Wilmer Hutchins High School. She was preceded in death by her husband David L. King. There were married 65 years. She is survived by her three children; David L. King Jr. and wife Theresa of Canton, Kathy Smith and husband Jerry of Combine, and Greg King and wife Tracie of Crandall. Hunkey or known to her grandchildren as "Honey" had six grandchildren; . She had eleven great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank special caregivers, Sam and Janet. She is survived by one brother Andy Harrington. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Sammy Harrington and sisters Billye Noble and Helen Hullett. Hunkey was a stay at home wife and mom most of her married life. Visitation will be Sunday, December 14, 2014 from 6pm-8pm at Eubank Cedar Creek Memorial Chapel in Mabank, Texas. Services will be held Monday, December 15, 2014 at 10am at Eubank Cedar Creek Memorial Chapel in Mabank, Texas with interment following at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Seagoville.
