Athey, Cecil Clyde 1925-2000 Funeral service for Cecil Clyde Athey, 75, of Boyd was July 25 at Turrentine Jackson-Morrow Chapel in McKinney. Burial followed at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Athey died July 23, 2000, in Decatur. Born Jan. 27, 1925, in McKinney, he married Gracie Louise Kindle on Aug. 7, 1943, in McKinney. He was employed by Bell Helicopter as a shear operator. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Wise County Antique Auto Club and Walnut Creek Baptist Church in Reno. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and four brothers.
