Robert Garlon Slaton age 77 of Leighton, AL, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Helen Keller Hospital. Mr. Slaton was born December 17, 1936 in Limestone County, AL to Razzie Howard Slaton and Inez Chapman Slaton. Graveside services will be Friday, December 12, 2014 1:00 p.m., at Goodsprings Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Preceded in death by his parents, Razzie and Inez Slaton; wife, Frances Bell Rose Slaton; two sons, Oneal Slaton and Jeff Slaton; two grandsons. Survived by his companion, over 40 years Frenchie Slaton; two sons, Byron Slaton and special friend, Melissa and LaDon Slaton and wife, Melaine; seven grandchildren.
