Funeral services for Mrs. Donald (Wilma) Miller, 63, Spokane, WA were held Sept. 4, 1984, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Spokane. Burial was in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Spokane. She died Aug. 30 at Sacred Heart Hospital after a short illness. Wilma Irene Schmitt was born Oct. 20, 1920 to John and Karolina (Wolff) Schmitt at Eureka, SD. In 1931 she moved with her parents to southwest of Leola, SD, where she finished her education. In 1937 the family moved into Leola. She was confirmed at St. James Lutheran Church in Leola. In 1937 she moved back to Eureka where she was employed in the Lutheran Home. In 1941 she moved with her family to Spokane. In 1943 she was united in marriage to Obie Whiteley. In 1965 she married Donald Miller. Survivors include her husband, Donald Miller; one daughter, Dora Lynn Marcau; one son, Terry Lee Whiteley; three step-children; three sisters, Mrs. Sam (Erna) Kurle, Spokane, Mrs. Robert (Alma) Sched, Edmonds, WA, and Leontina Lesley, Spokane; four brothers, Leonard Schmitt and Harold Schmitt, Spokane, Aaron Schmitt, Ford, WA; and Marvin Schmitt, Yakima, WA; four grandchildren and one step granchild. She was preceded by three infants at birth, her parents and two brothers. Casketbearers were nephews, Larry and Gary Schmitt, James and John Kurle and Andy and Gordon Hatch.
