Bio
Leona Alma Leach passed away at Community Hospice of Texas in Burleson, Texas, on November 26, 2014. Leona was born on Thursday March 1, 1928, in Indian Gap, Texas, to Erick Otto and Annie Louise Witzche Tischler. Leona grew up in in the Hamilton County area and on Saturday, June 1, 1946, She married Bobbie Dale Leach. During all of Leona's life family and community were very important to her. She also loved music and dancing and was a member of the Lutheran Church. Leona was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband Bobbie in 2006, her son Bobby Charles Leach in 1993, her granddaughter Melissa Gay Leach in 1996, two brothers and one sister in law. Leona is survived by her daughter Linda Hernandez and husband Ray of Arlington, Texas; daughter Sandra Miller and husband Terry of Forsyth, Missouri; granddaughter, Alison Hernandez and grandson Jonathan Hernandez of Arlington, Texas; grandson Cameron Bohnstedt of New Westminster, Canada; step-grandson Bryan Miller of Branson, Missouri; two step-great grandchildren; brother James Earl Tischler and wife Betty of Hamilton, Texas; sister Shirley Banks of Fort Worth, Texas; and sisters-in-laws Ella Tischler of Fort Worth, Texas, and Doris Leach of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by many numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and close friends. A Visitation was held on Saturday, November 29, 2014, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Riley Funeral Home. Funeral Services were also held on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Riley Funeral Home and burial was in Pecan Wells Cemetery in Pecan Wells, TX.
