Eldoris "Doris" Ella Kotria Stock November 23, 1935 ~ November 30, 2014 Doris Stock, 79, of Hillsboro passed away November 30, 2014 in Plano. She was born November 23, 1935 in Garwood, the daughter of Eugene and Pearlie Ella (Opperman) Kotrla. She grew up and attended schools in Rock Island and later completed nursing school in Columbus where she received her LVN certification. Since 1956 she had worked as an LVN for Canterbury Villa Nursing Home and Grand Buie Hospital and was currently employed at Park Plaza Nursing Home in Whitney. Doris was united in marriage to Marvin Stock in Columbus. She enjoyed being outdoors, traveling, going on trips with her sisters, cooking, gardening, canning fruits and vegetables, and decorating. Spending time with her grandchildren and going to big family get-togethers brought great joy to her life. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hillsboro. Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister, Audrey Kanak. Survived by her husband, Marvin Stock; two daughters; two sisters, Billie Jean Mayes and Earlene Botard; two grand children; four great-grand children and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Burial will follow at New Lebanon Cemetery. M_M
