Bio

Patsy Womack, 71, passed Tuesday, June 25, 2013 in Corsicana. She was born May 18, 1942, one of four children born to the union of William Henery and Audrey Gladys (Bradshaw) Morris. She was a longtime resident of Richland and served on the city council as well as in the Richland Cemetery Association. Patsy was a retired teacher who had taught many years of special education students in the Corsicana School District. She was a member of the Richland Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; and eldest brother, Royce Morris. Survivors include her brothers, David Morris of Richland and W.J. Morris of Lubbock; daughters, Katherine Forson and Margaret Bosma, both of Richland; and her grandchildren, Kenneth Merriman of Florida, and Katie Turner and Michael Turner both of Waco. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2013, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Corsicana. Funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013, at the Richland Baptist Church with Walter Libhart officiating. Interment will follow at the Richland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bruce Thomas, Bill Brown, Jay Tidwell, Kenny Guard, Chris Lasiter and Jodie Farmer. A reception will be held at the Richland Community Center following services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Richland Cemetery Association Arrangements by Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home, Corsicana.
