Ruth M. Bremer , 91, of Frohna died November 27, 2014 at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born November 19, 1923 in Frohna, MO, daughter of Charles G. and Anita C. (Metz) Grebing. She and Willis C. Bremer were married on September 1, 1945. He preceded her in death on January 19, 1995. Ruth was a homemaker. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, L.W.M.L. and Church Choir. She was also a member of several senior organization clubs in Perryville, Altenburg, and Frohna, 4-H Leader and Frohna Friendship Club member. Survivors include four daughters and one son; Sharon (Ron) Kassel of Riverside, CA, Carolyn (Ray) Schmidt of Altenburg, Mo, Linda (Jim) Kieft of Indio, CA, Joan (Earl) Walter and Dale (Juanita) Bremer all of Jackson, Mo, one brother and two sisters; Vernon (Helen) Grebing of Frohna, Dorothy Lichtnegger of Jackson, MO, Laverne (Vernon) Mirly of Monrovia, CA, and sister in law; Dorene Grebing of Frohna, ten grandchildren; Lisa (Christian) Carreon, Kari Kassel, Stephanie (Tim) Steffens, Tracy (Chad) Lich, Jeffrey (Denae) Walter, Amanda J. Walter, Adam (Amanda S.) Walter, Danielle (Chuck) Brown, Jonathan (Rachael) Bremer and Chris Roberts, eleven great grandchildren; Sara and Noah Carreon, Connor and Clayton Steffens, Aden and Austin Walter, Jazmine and Garrett Lich, Ava and Jillian Brown and Isaac Bremer. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers; Raymond and Milton Grebing. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 1, at Young & Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg from 5:00 – 8:00 pm and on Tuesday, December 2, from 6:30 – 8:30 am. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna at 10:00 am with Rev. Rod Benkendorf officiating. Burial in the Church Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Concordia Choir or United in Christ Lutheran School. Young & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. in Perryville, MO provided the arrangements.
