His parents were Mr. and Mrs. William Franklin Cullins. He was born in Navajo, California (unable to locate a town by that name) He worked on the Block Ranch. His sons included Leon Cullins; Jerry Cullins, Sonny Collins, and Luther Cullins. His daughters included Oenny Werner; Fay Thrasher; Joyue Sartan; and Dean Daugherty. His sisters were LaVerne Overcash and Lorene Shaw
