Early Life: A lifelong resident of Lehi, Utah, Margaret was born Jan 30, 1936. She attended Lehi schools graduating from Lehi High School in 1954 as the salutatorian of her class. Life's Work/Service/Interests: Margaret attended Brigham Young University, where she graduated in 1958 with a degree in Elementary Education. Following graduation, Margaret taught kindergarten and first grade at Greenwood Elementary in American Fork. In 1961, Margaret married her beloved husband after getting acquainted singing a duet for Christmas together. Their marriage was a very celebrated event and her posterity are eternally grateful for this occasion. Margaret postponed her teaching career to raise her five children. She returned to teaching full-time at Sego Lily Elementary in 1982, where she taught kindergarten, third grade and language arts for many years. Upon retirement, she continued to work at the Lehi Literacy Center as a reading tutor, where she earned national recognition for her many years of service. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Margaret served faithfully in many capacities. She had a deep love of music and enjoyed singing, directing and listening to music. She loved to travel and to visit friends and family and had a passion for preserving her family history. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. In her everyday life, she was always an example of selfless service. Many lives have been touched by Margaret's thoughtful acts of kindness. Margaret Ann Bushman Russon departed this life peacefully on November 15, 2014 following an extended illness. Survived By: Privacy protected.
