Bio

Doris Jean Raines, 72, of Jefferson City, Tennessee, passed away Jan. 8, 2016, at Jefferson City Health and Rehab. She had been in declining health this past year. Doris was born on Nov. 8, 1943, in Gothenburg to Leo G. and Audrey E. Widholm McKenna. She grew up in Wild Horse Valley north of Brady. She spent her primary school years at McKenna School District No. 90. She graduated form Brady Public School in 1961. Doris married Joe Weatherly and to this union one daughter, Donna Jean, was born. She later married Hermon Raines and to this union two children were born, DeAnn J. and Herman Raines Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James W. and Richard L.; husband, Hermon Raines; daughter, Donna Jean; and son, Hermon “Butch” Raines. Doris is survived by her daughter, DeAnn, and three grandchildren.
