Services will be held at 10:00 AM CDT on Monday, October 27, 2014 at Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen with Pastor Walt Wolff officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. James was born September 11, 1940 to Tobias and Elsie (Isaak) Sailer in Hazen, ND. James was employed by various painting contractors and then by Basin Electric Power Cooperative at the Leland Olds Station from 1967 until retirement in 2004. James loved fishing, working on cars and pretty much anything mechanical. He also enjoyed playing first base for his softball team, the Pick City Merchants. James was particularly proud of the state championship they won in 1981. He also won “Miss Congeniality” in the Stanton Centennial Beauty Pageant. James especially cherished the time spent with his nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
