Jerry Richard Errett, 47, passed away on July 29, 1998 at a local Salt Lake hospital due to surgery complications. He was born on February 11, 1951 in Salt Lake City to William Errett and Emma Jane Morse Errett. He married his high school sweetheart, Deon Saddler, on August 17, 1968 in Salt Lake City. He later became a member of the L.D.S. Church on January 6, 1980. He then took his family to the Salt Lake Temple, were they were sealed together for time and all eternity. Jerry graduated from Kearns High School in 1969. He was employed by Kennecott Copper for sixteen years and Hercules for eight years. He was presently employed at Ready Made Builders. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all. Jerry enjoyed the outdoors and time with his family, especially his grandchildren. His kind and caring nature will be missed by all. "WE LOVE YOU DADDY!!!" He is survived by his wife, Clara Deon Saddler Errett; sons, Todd (Cheryl) and Doug (Michele); daughters, Jennifer and Rochelle; grandchildren, K.C., Scott, and Paul; brother, Thomas (Dixie); and loving mom, Bernice Saddler. He was preceded in death by his parents and special dad, Ed Saddler. His family wishes to express many thanks to the Shock Trauma Staff on the West 6th floor and Dr. Christensen for being so caring and honest. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 1, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. in the Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City. The family will receive friends prior to the services on Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South. Published in the Deseret News on July 31, 1998.
