Born Oct. 26, 1925, in Ringling, to the late Frank Alfred and Rutha Jane Albin Butler, he died July 8, 2003, at his residence. He was preceded in death by a son, Derral Ray Butler, a daughter-in-law, July Lynn Butler and a granddaughter, Amanda Jean Butler all of whom died on March 23, 1984; two sisters, Louise Starr and Helen Joyce Skaugset; two brothers, Hershel "Buster" Butler and Percy Floyd Butler. Kenneth Raymond Butler and the former Billie Jean McLellan were united in marriage on May 30, 1949, in Henryetta, Texas. A welder, he worked in the shipyards in Tacoma, Wash. during World War II, returned home to Ringling and was employed by Morris Holder, Clifford Tolbert of Wilson, then worked 24 years for Brady Welding Service in Healdton. He retired in 1984. Kenneth was baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ on Nov. 28, 1948, and has been a member since. He is survived by his wife Billie, of 54 years, and an adopted granddaughter, Stephanie Lynn Butler, of the home; two sons, Lee Roy Butler, also of the home, and Billy Raymond Butler, Amarillo, Texas; Billie Jean's sister whom they raised, Mary Ann Collins, Ringling; and a grandson, Roy Lee Butler, Sweetwater, Texas. Bearers will be Lafon Glenn, Teri Glenn, Dewayne McCartney, Bobby Tolliver, Mike Skinner, Bub McCauley and Michael Massey. Honorary bearers are Quinton Glenn, Otto and Jake Wade, Don and Junior Patrick, Emmett Price, Bill Inselman, James and Billy Morris, Terry Grant, Keith Blankenship, Johnny Reid, Jim Snow, Gerald Greenroyd, Nick Ellis, Harold Charles, David Harrelson, Richard McClurg, L.J. Chapman and Tony Tomberlin.
