Funeral services for Clara Carroll, 84, of Mesquite, are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point, Texas. Burial will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point, TX. Clara passed away November 8, 2014, in Mesquite, TX. Clara Marie Lansdale was born June 22, 1930, in Lindale, TX, to Lee and Anne Woodruff Lansdale. She grew up in Lindale where she attended school. On October 5, 1946, in Dallas, TX, Clara became the wife of Charles Carroll. They made their home in Mesquite where Clara was employed with the Mesquite Independent School District in the cafeteria for twenty-four years. She was a member of Valley View Baptist Church in Mesquite, TX. Clara enjoyed just “going” and was ready anytime anyone mentioned it. Clara is preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Anne Lansdale; husband, Charles on February 14, 2009; sister, Jane Kilgore; and brothers, Bill Lansdale and John Wilson, Jr. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home in Wills Point, TX.
