Bio

Beatrice B. Vyhlidal, 88, of North Bend died Saturday, May 15, 2004, at Nye Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center in Fremont. Beatrice Eret was born Aug. 4, 1915, in Prague. She grew up in the Bruno and Prague areas. After her marriage to Ludvik Fencl on Feb. 12, 1942, in Plasi, the couple lived at Wahoo for 25 years. She was a cook at the Wigwam Cafe and the Fairview Cafe, both at Wahoo, for three years. Her husband preceded her in death July 3, 1968. She married Emil Vyhlidal on Jan. 23, 1970, in Wahoo, and then moved to North Bend. Emil died Sept. 23, 1982. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in North Bend and St. Anne's Altar Society. Survivors include: five stepsons, Emil (and wife, Marie) Vyhlidal of Lawton, Okla., Ronald (and wife, Diane) Vyhlidal and Richard (and wife, Dianne) Vyhlidal, all of Fremont, Jerry (and wife, Susan) Vyhlidal of Columbus and Daryl (and wife, Monica) Vyhlidal of North Bend; two stepdaughters, Marilyn (Mrs. Pat) Parolek of Lincoln and Carol Vyhlidal of North Bend; 16 stepgrandchildren and eight stepgreat-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Charles Catholic Church in North Bend with the Rev. Roland Peschel officiating. A vigil service will be 7 p.m. today at Moser Memorial Chapel in North Bend. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. today and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday, all at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Cemetery in Plasi. Memorials have been established to North Bend Rescue Squad, North Bend Area Community Foundation and the Morse Bluff/North Bend Veterans Memorial Park.
