Norma Lea Ashworth, 81, of Merryville, Louisiana entered eternal peace on Saturday, November 8th, 2014 in DeRidder, Louisiana. She was a member of Bethel Grove United Pentecostal Church in Merryville, Louisiana. She was a loving mother, wife, sister, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family, attending church, reading her bible, admiring her doll collection and her nightly ice cream. Mrs. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Louise Coody; three brothers, Alvin Coody, Clarence Coody and Ray Coody; one grandchild, James Daniel Stamps and one great grandson Alexander Javier Lopez. Those left to mourn her lose and cherish her memory are her husband of 42 years; seven sons; one daughter; one brother; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends. Visitation will begin on Monday, November 10th, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Bethel Grove United Pentecostal Church in Merryville, LA until the time of service on Tuesday, November 11th, 2014 at 10:00 am with Pastor Roy Hoosier and Assistant Pastor Rod Boyer officiating. Interment to follow at Cannon Cemetery in Merryville, LA. Services by Hixson Funeral Home of DeRidder, LA.
