Private memorial services for Gwendolyn Faye Koch of Grass Valley will be conducted at a later date in San Diego. Ms. Koch died Thursday, March 16, at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. She was 70. She was born May 22, 1935, in Torrington, Wyo., to Alexander Koch and Alice Irene Wood. She enjoyed bowling, reading and visiting with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Sugay of Chicago, Ill.; sons Dean Porter of Las Vegas, Nev., Wes Porter of San Diego, and Ronald and Wayne Milnes both of Grass Valley; cousin, Violet Milnes of Grass Valley; sister, Lila Harrison of Rochester, Mich.; brother, Craig Wood of San Diego; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
