BRADY - Doris E. Harriman Hood, 59, of Brady, formerly of Gothenburg, died May 13, 2005, at her home. She was surrounded by her family and friends. She was born Jan. 23, 1946, to Frank and Muriel Gray Harriman in Hershey. In October 1960, she was joined in marriage to Roger W. Hood. After marriage, they spent the majority of their life together in Gothenburg. Doris loved her children and grandchildren more than anything. She was most happy when the family was camping at the lake. She was a devoted wife and mother and grandmother. Survivors include a daughter, Sherri (Steve) Bourge of Brady and children Jacob and Taylor; three sons, Rick Hood of Brady and children James and Jeffrey, Stan (Crystal) Hood of Brady and children Heather, Randin, Krystan and Allison, and Roger (Connie) Hood Jr. of Brady and children Jennifer, Jessica, Ryan, Channa and T.J; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louise and Donna; three brothers, Dale, Don and Everett; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Debra; two brothers, Jerry and Wayne; and a sister, Alice. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Blase Memorial Chapel in Gothenburg with the Rev. Smith Kite officiating. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
