Bio

Della Meacham and Wm Gier married 1 May 1940 at Missouri Valley, Iowa Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Church of Christ in Mondamin for Mrs. Della Ann Gier, 70, who died last Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edna Ruffcorn, after a long illness. The services were conducted by the Rev. O. S. Lincoln of Missouri Valley and burial was in the Calhoun cemetery. Mrs. Gier is survived by her husband, William; two daughters, Mrs. Edna Ruffcorn of Mondamin and Mrs. Lula Woods of Onawa; four sons, Orval Meacham, Edward Meacham and Donald Meacham of Omaha and Weslie Meacham of Portland, Ore.; one step-son, George Gier of Omaha; and eight grandchildren. One grandson is with the armed forces. Council Bluffs Nonpareil: Thurs., 18 Jan 1945 I believe this is Della's father. If he is buried here there is no marker.
