Bio
Virginia Jane Vanek, 80, of Granger passed away Monday, October 20, 2014. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. with Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Providence Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 24, 2014 at Providence Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Granger. Virginia was married to Julius “Joe” Vanek and worked on their farm for many years until Joe passed away. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Oranell Tomlinson; husband Joe Vanek; brothers, Jesse and Lantice Tomlinson; and nephew Gary Filla. Virginia is survived by her sister, Janice Leslie and husband David and Sue Bradford; sisters-in-law, Betty Blackmon, Bernice Vanek, Annie Vanek, Betty Tomlinson and Lilly Vanek; and numerous nieces and nephews.
