Bio

PVT U.S. ARMY WORLD WAR II Edwin was the son of Julius & Alvina (Arp) Eichner. He grew up on the family farm near Gretna, NE. He entered the U.S. Army on 21 Mar 1942 and drove an ambulance, he was discharged in October 1945. After serving in World War II, Edwin returned to Omaha, NE and went back to work for Ideal Cement Co, whom he was employed by before entering the service. He married Julia Policky at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Omaha, NE on 10 June 1947. They lived in Omaha, NE and had three children, Gary, Ed and Shirley.
